"It becomes truly daunting and can really take your breath away at the amount of pain and suffering being inflicted," our JT Cestkowksi says on his reporting in Chicago. PLEASE READ FULL EMAIL.
I'm here on Substack even talking about the psychology and neuroscience problem with fascism as a massive part of my content.
Fascism is narcissism, but Western psychology doesn't understand its own social norm (of individualism) is a fundamentally flawed concept.
Believing we are separate and unique individuals is only going to cause Fascism to happen over and over again until we do something about that.
AI is proving it too. Guess why the machine cant do logic and acts like an emotional abuser when you tell it that it's wrong?
Because, individualism is xenophobia.
If you teach a machine the same bad ideas as a capitalist of identity and free will, the machine reproduces individualism is a LLM.
"Intelligence" apparently is individualism, but that wouldn't account for actual human skill and capabilities.
So laugh at the tech bros for building a narcissist in a box and proving individualism is white supremacy.
I wish us all the best of luck. The challenge we face is next to impossible. Fascism isn't just a psychology problem, the profrontal cortex atrophies or is stunted in growth by individualism. It's also physical.
Can we rewire the world to think in collectivism? Meh, I have done it and I can even tell someone how with critical thinking and retraining cognitive biases like a better version of CBT.
It took me years to do it too.
But the secret is language. Just as the issue with the LLM suggests. We need to teach Fascists how to do subjectivity to raise their verbal intelligence. That's how they can grow the part of the brain that would now allow them to change their belief systems.
You'll have to start with the libs first, they're already half way to fascists using the exact same ideology as conservatives.
Capitalism rots our brains, literally, though individualism.
But if you did want to try to wake them up, now you know the answer key.
If you want more information, I talk about reactionism on Substack. It's a psychological perspective that looks critically at individualism as a cognitive thought process. Because it has consequences, lots of them.
Great article, it's crazy to see it all laid out in a list. 🙃
Total agree!
