We're STILL ON-THE-GROUND on Day 17 of UAW Strike
Status Coup has been the ONLY news outlet ON-THE-GROUND every day of the UAW strike in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois—we even went to Canada. Check out the highlights and support us so we can continue!
Hey folks, it’s Jordan.
It’s Day 17 of the UAW strike and we are STILL out here doing our darnedest to lift the voices of as many workers as we can. Yesterday I was LIVE from the Ford plant in Chicago for two-and-a-half-hours talking to workers. Many of them told us they had been watching our coverage during the whole strike and appreciated that we made over 3 hour drive from Lansing Michigan.
In fact, Colin put together a cool montage of UAW members shouting out Status Coup’s ON-THE-GROUND reporting from the UAW strike (watch above). I hope watching it makes you proud.
Yesterday, we added 16 paying Status Coup members. To be able to continue funding expensive ON-THE-GROUND strike coverage, we need to keep adding 20 new paying members a day for $5-10 bucks a month. As humbly as I can say it, we are the ONLY news outlet, corporate or independent, that has covered this strike every day ON-THE-GROUND. I believe our coverage has helped spread the word about the strike—and exploitation of these workers— to those who didn’t know about it. I also believe it has has helped cancel out corporate media propaganda about striking workers “hurting the economy” and “hurting consumers.”
If you want us to remain ON-THE-GROUND, we need 20 of you to sign up TODAY. Is REAL, INDEPENDENT ON-THE-GROUND reporting from the frontlines of this historic strike worth $5-10 bucks a month to you? If so, SIGN UP TODAY.
Already a member? We greatly appreciate donations to help fund this trip as well.
Thanks as always.
