Our Tina-Desiree Berg and Jon Farina have been down in Atlanta this week covering important developments as state and local police continue to terrorize the community in defense of the highly unpopular “Cop City” militarized police compound that would tear down hundreds of acres of pristine forest in Atlanta’s Weelaunee Forest.

Tina and Jon have been busting their behinds in suffocating heat to bring you this important story. This ON-THE-GROUND reporting is very expensive and, to be honest, we are far off of our $6,000 fundraising goal to help fund this trip. If possible, can you chip in this holiday weekend?

Tina and Jon was on-the-scene days ago when police arrested a 76-year-old peace activist and held her overnight for the crime of peacefully demonstrating outside of Home Depot, a key Cop City funder.

Yesterday, Tina and Jon exposed that local police are blocking multiple entrances to Weelaunee’s People’s Park—where #StopCopCity protesters have been demonstrating and encamping for years and police murdered 26-year-old protester Tortuguita in January (which police then lied then lied that they shot Tortuguita in self-defense—which an independent autopsy exposed was not true).

Later in the HOT day. Tina and Jon were out and about reporting from a town hall hosted by Atlanta’s Hip Hop Caucus. There, a local Reverend brought down the house with fiery words against Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Cop City (watch below at 55 minutes in).
