Louis DeAngelis is on his 4th reporting trip to East Palestine where he's the ONLY national reporter STILL covering toxic disaster. Jordan is ready to cover MASSIVE auto worker strike ON-THE-GROUND
$5 dollars for 30 days (16 cents a day).
That’s how much it costs to support the below:
“We are not animals, we are not mice in a lab, we are human beings, & we are not treated like human beings, we're treated like nothing,” East Palestine resident Candice DeSanzo told Louis last night about her and her kids being forced out of their home for the last six months because it is too toxic to safely live in following the Norfolk Southern derailment and detonation. Despite this, all she has received from the EPA and Norfolk Southern are lies claiming it’s safe for her to return with her kids.
Speaking of her kids, watch as Candice explains the horrifying image of her son suddenly drooling out blood after returning to East Palestine for just a few hours.
Louis also showed that creeks in East Palestine—where children play—are still VERY contaminated six months later.
Louis’ reporting is getting noticed. WATCH his appearance on The Hill’s Rising this morning:
And I’ve been actively reporting on the likely MASSIVE strike coming in September—potentially with 150,000 auto workers going on STRIKE over stagnant pay and decades of exploitation.
YOU BETTER BELIEVE I will be ON-THE-GROUND covering the picket lines—just like I was in 2019—to cover what could be a long-lasting and powerful strike (and coming together of the working class).
But I gotta be honest: although we have fortunately gained thousands of subscribers on YouTube over the last month or two, we have not added enough PAID MEMBERS to cover the costs of this continued ON-THE-GROUND reporting that, frankly, virtually no other outlets are doing.
Obviously it’s tough economic times for most of you. If you don’t have an extra $5-10 bucks a month to support us, no worries. But if you do, I respectfully ask you what is REAL INDEPENDENT ON-THE-GROUND journalism worth to you?
Already a member but want to support us in other ways?
Now is not the time for us to sit on our hands and pontificate exclusively from the studio like the majority of the media. If ANYTHING is going to structurally change for the better in this country, we need independent media IN-THE-TRENCHES.
Thanks for supporting us.
