I’m thrilled to share that my book, “We the Poisoned: Exposing the Flint Water Crisis Cover Up and the Poisoning of 100,000 Americans” has been chosen as a finalist—in the category of best Political and Social Sciences Nonfiction book—for the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards. As I’ve said from day one, I would have never been able to dig and break several major stories on the Flint water crisis and cover up—WHICH IS STILL ONGOING 11 YEARS LATER—without the viewers of Status Coup supporting us and funding my repeated trips to Flint (I’ve reported there 21 times in nine years). To build a strong network of dozens and dozens of sources—from residents, to politicians, to those familiar with criminal investigation—I had to be ON-THE-GROUND in Flint showing people I cared, showing people they could trust me, and showing people I would fight for them and to expose the truth.
