ICE ATTACKS Chicago—We Are ON-THE-GROUND

"It's not even 9 am and I'm burning from pepper spray and tear gas," our Jon Farina reports from Chicago-area ICE prison. ICE agents are spraying chemical weapons and rubber bullets at protesters.

BREAKING NEWS: Our video journalist Jon Farina is currently outside the Broadview detention center right outside of Chicago as ICE troops assault peaceful protesters with pepper spray, mace, and rubber bullets—including snipers firing from the ICE prison’s rooftop.

“It’s not even 9 am and I’m burning from pepper spray and tear gas,” Farina texted to our Status Coup group chat this morning (you can see some of those chemicals on his face in the short clip above).

Last week, ICE body slammed a progressive Congressional candidate protesting with others outside this same ICE prison while attacking others with mace, tear gas, and “less lethal” rounds. And, as we covered ON-THE-GROUND in Chicago recently, there was a massive protest with thousands of Chicagoans marching in the streets (watch video below from our NEW REPORTER JT Cestkowski).

All of this comes on top of the Trump’s other ICE invasions around the country.
