GA Cops Lied About Killing 'Cop City' Protester Tortuguita, SHOT THEM 57 TIMES—w/ Steven Donziger & Hannah Riley
5pm est: Ron Placone & Tina-Desiree Berg will interview human rights attorney Steven Donziger & Atlanta organizer Hannah Riley about explosive autopsy revelations that debunk Georgia police claims
Ron Placone and Tina-Desiree Berg are LIVE today at 5 PM EST!
The official autopsy for environmental and “Cop City” protester Tortuguita was released—showing they had no gunpowder residue on their hands and was wounded with 57 gunshots fired at them by police. The revelations all debunk Georgia police claims that Tortuguita fired at them first and they shot back in “self defense.”
Beyond that, The Guardian reports that police initially fired a pepper ball gun into Tortuguita’s tent. Afterwards, real gunshots were fired which police mistakenly believed were coming from Tortuguita’s tent—"“leading officers to fire a barrage of shots blindly into the tent, killing Paez Terán inside.”
The Guardian also revealed that police first provided medical assistance to an injured officer—not Tortuguita.
