Status Coup has been LEADING THE CHARGE among all media outlets ON THE GROUND in Chicago covering Trump’s ICE invasion for nearly 2 weeks (not to mention our on-the-ground coverage of ICE terror in LA, NYC, D.C., and Florida).

In Chicago, our new reporter JT Cestkowski and video journalist Jon Farina have been tear gassed REPEATEDLY while also having ICE and border patrol launch stun grenades and flash bangs off within feet of them. At every protest we’ve covered, when our journalists are on the front lines, other local and national media reporters are way the hell in the back—far away from the action.

This work is risky and takes A LOT of resources—flights, hotels, rent-a-car, gas, food, and expensive safety equipment. It is risky and we have no funding from massive corporations or the oligarchs buying off both political parties.
