EXTREMELY DISTURBING: Standing Rock Trial an ASSAULT on Native Americans, Protest—w/ Steven Donziger
Jordan Chariton talked with Steven Donziger about Standing Rock, and the trial they have to face
Human rights lawyer Steven Donziger joins Jordan Chariton to discuss the beginnings of an alarming trial in North Dakota over the historic Standing Rock protests of 2016. Energy Transfer Partners, the owner of the Dakota Access Pipeline, has sued environmental group Greenpeace lawsuit for $300 million for the absurd claim that Greenpeace organized the protests at Standing Rock (they didn't, they simply advocated against DAPL like many other environmental groups).
The case is an egregious SLAAP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) lawsuit meant to intimidate and dissauading Native Americans as well as environmental groups from protesting dangerous fossil fuel projects like Dakota Access Pipeline. It's also an insult to the indigenous-led Standing Rock protests and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
Jordan Chariton, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for covering, and sticking with, the most important stories in America. The Water Crisis in Flint Michigan and the historic Standing Rock protests against DAPL. MSNBC or CNN, ABC, FOX, WILL NEVER COVER THESE STORIES, and therefore they will never get the support from THE PEOPLE that Status Coup receives. They've got Billionaire Oligarchs, but we've got the American people. And that is what truly matters at the end of the day. Thank you again man 🙏 MNI WACONI! WATER IS LIFE
HOLY MOLY!!! 🤨 I feel like I am stuck in a dystopian NIGHTMARE! Fight Back!
