East Palestine Factory Workers BLAST Norfolk Southern Gaslighting: "Just Believe Us"

"Everyday it's in our system; there's only a few days that go by that you don't smell or taste it [toxic chemicals]," East Palestine resident Bryan McCall tells Status Coup

Louis DeAngelis interviewed Bryan and Steve, two factory workers who work right next to where the Norfolk Southern derailment and so-called “control burn” occurred in February. They both have experienced ongoing health problems—and gaslighting—coming from officials working for the railroad company.

Norfolk Southern told us not to "believe anything you see on social media, they want us to believe them who are being paid who knows how much," Steve told Status Coup’s DeAngelis. Norfolk Southern got "exactly what they wanted by giving us a little bit of money to get us by and then saying yea you know we're gonna slowly stop supporting you,” Bryan added.
