Fuck the "free" market. "Free", my ass. We small fry have paid up the kazoo for it and are still getting ripped off by these quacks. I refuse to waste my time lending an eye or an ear to any publication or program that supports it.

If you think the economy is rigged, and you are mad about that, are you not in favor of free markets? Planned economies are not certainly not any less rigged than the recent economy, nor do they have a particularly good track record.

Trump and Elon and their coterie are certainly not free market types in any sense. The only person remotely close to the administration who seems to have some legitimate free market bonafides is Peter Thiel, but who knows, maybe behind the scenes he's been going after his competitors.

It’s really hard to have a free market when the market isn’t a fair market. Let’s talk about red tape and bureaucracy. We need to exclude Economics from national security, unless there is a direct threat of a nuke coming our way, don’t call it national security. How about opening up the patent system and stop calling inventions that would disrupt a sector national security, I say bankrupt fossil fuels, bankrupt big pharma, bankrupt corporations, let the big banks go out of business if they fail the community they are supposed to serve. I’m so sick and tired of this free market talk when it isn’t possible without having a fair market first.

We need universal healthcare. We need to not just overturn Citizens United but eliminate all money in politics as our donor class can’t be trusted at all! End stock buybacks and end short selling and prosecute insider trading, end private equity and make it illegal for anyone to own more than 10 single family homes and only allow 1vacation home for non-us citizens and never sell farm or raw land to non-us citizens. If a corporation has any manufacturing or outsourcing any part of its business outside of the US, they get no government contracts or subsidies.
