Trump Deports SICK 2-MONTH OLD After ICE Prison Measles Outbreak

"Choking on his own vomit" was how Juan Nicolás was found at a Texas ICE prison. Babies are in "measles, tuberculosis, and bronchitis-infested detainment," Migrant Insider Pablo Manriquez tells us.

"Yesterday, I sat for a wide-ranging interview with Michelle Dao from Status Quo. Come for the latest on Juan Nicolás and the DHS shutdown. Stay for my rant about fake Christians who hate migrants because they don't read the Bible and will be judged at the pearly gates for not welcoming the stranger as Jesus commands, through Matthew. While the topics are troubling and the times are dire, it does feel good to be back on air after declining nearly all the booking requests I've received over the last few years. Let me know what you think! "

Just when you think Trump’s terror has reached rock bottom, the floor collapses even lower.

Status Coup producer Michelle Dao interviewed Migrant Insider editor Pablo Manríquez on the alarming, heartbreaking, and un-American story of the deportation of a SICK 2-MONTH-OLD newborn boy named Juan Nicolás (watch interview above)

Nicolás, along with hundreds of other children, was detained at the Dilley ICE prison in South Texas (the same ICE prison that recently had a Measles outbreak along with other diseases). Nicolás has been imprisoned there for a month—and sick inside for the last three weeks.

Let that sink in: two-month old newborns are being imprisoned in disease-riddles cesspools…in the United States of America.

Manriquez echoed this:

“2 months old! Babies in a measles, tuberculosis, and bronchitis-infested detainment environment—we’re finding them unresponsive. When I say unresponsive, I mean you poke them and they don’t move. This is incredibly scary—and they’re with their parents because this is a family detainment center. And family detention has something historically that’s always been a precursor to genocide.”

Early this week, Nicolás was found unresponsive, “choking on his own vomit,” according to his mother’s interview with N+ Univision’s Lidia Terrazas. But, despite ICE being gifted $75 billion dollars as part of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful” bill, when guards rushed Juan to the medical area of the ICE prison overnight—there was no doctor there.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with bronchitis. According to Congressman Joaquin Castro, while hospitalized Nicolás was still “unresponsive”—yet he was released after just a few hours. The newborn, still in medical distress, was then deported to Mexico along with his 16-month old sister Mía, his father, and mother.

Yes…

A sick two-month old and his family were essentially dumped at the border with only $190 dollars from their ICE prison commissary account (here is a GoFundMe created to support Juan Nicolás and his family).

In an update yesterday, Terrazas, who has been covering the horrible conditions inside the Dilley ICE prison for a year, shared that Juan Nicolás’ condition was actually worse than previously thought. In Mexico, he was diagnosed with RSV—a highly-contagious respiratory illness that can prove fatal for newborns. Along with RSV, Nicolás was diagnosed with severe Bronchiolitis, a lung infection that is also dangerous for newborns given that they have very small airways.

Fortunately, he is now out of the hospital and in stable condition, Terrazaz reports. We will continue to update this story and, if funding allows, potentially head to Texas to report ON-THE-GROUND at this ICE prison abducting innocent children like Juan Nicolás.

***We have been ON-THE-GROUND in Minneapolis for over a month and will stay there AS LONG AS FUNDING ALLOWS….

This ON-THE-GROUND reporting is extremely important, increasingly MORE DANGEROUS, and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE between flights, rent-a-car, hotels, food, equipment, and paying rotating reporters and cameramen). On top of our normal payroll, the travel costs associated with these reporting trips is costing us tens of thousands per month.

Most importantly, we are an INDEPENDENT outlet without corporate funding. If you value this reporting—if you depend on us—we sincerely ask you to SIGN UP TODAY as a paying member of Status Coup for as low as $5 bucks a month…that comes out to 16 cents a day.***
